Course Description:
This course will cover placement of immediate implants, from diagnosis, indications, risks, and benefits. Administration of local anesthesia, atraumatic extraction techniques, preparation and immediate wide diameter mandibular molar implant placement with bone grafting will be shown. Immediate maxillary molar extraction and trans-alveolar sinus lift with wide diameter implant placement will also be presented. Conclusion of the lecture will cover the immediate implant in the esthetic zone with a new technique for immediate provisional abutment and restoration.
Learning Objectives: At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Learn the indications, risks, and benefits of immediate implant placement.
- Understand and learn new skills and the use of new and various instruments for extractions and immediate implant placement with preservation of hard and soft tissue with immediate bone grafting.
- Review the specific anatomical variations of immediate implant placement in both the maxilla and mandible.
- Learn new techniques for immediate provisional abutments and restorations.
About Dr. Ronald Morris
Dr. Ronald P. Morris earned his dental degree and graduated with honors from the University of Detroit Dental School. He is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeron. Dr. Morris is licensed in Michigan and Missouri. Dr. Morris is a board certified and a Diplomate, of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Dental Association and the American Medical Association. He is a well know national speaker on dentistry and active Detroit District Member.
