Michigan Supreme Court Overturns Whitmer Emergency Powers - October 2, 2020
On Friday, Oct. 2 the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Gov. Gretchen Whitmer lacked the constitutional authority to extend the COVID-19 state of emergency or issue executive orders related to the state of emergency without approval by the Michigan Legislature. What does this mean for dental offices?
There should be no change in the way you practice as a result of this ruling. You and your staff should continue to follow all applicable CDC and OSHA guidelines as well as the ADA Return to Work Interim Guidance Toolkit and the MDA Addendum to the ADA Return to Work Interim Guidance Toolkit.
