Dental Education Today (DET2024)

Dental Education Today (DET2023) will be held on November 7-8, 2024 at the Doubletree Detroit/Deaborn hotel. This program was formerly called the Detroit Dental Review and is held in November of each year. The program has a new name and a new format with a national dental speaker for the full dental team and two to three hands-on sessions. Detroit All Branch Meeting

All Branch Meeting – May 14, 2025 at Laurel Manor in Livonia, MI. Event limited to six sponsors and is annual meeting of the Detroit District Dental Society with attendance target at 200 dentists. The all Branch Reservation form is DDDS_2024_2025_SponsorshipForm

New Dentist Dinner

Detroit Red Wings Dental Night

Red Wings Hockey Game – we are repeating last year’s successful event that had over 300 people (95% dentists) at a Detroit Red Wings Hockey Game. Date will be selected as soon as Red Wings release the ticket schedule. Sponsor receives five tickets to the event – mingle in reception area with attendees. Sponsor Redwings Event Reservation form is DDDS_2024_2025_SponsorshipForm Date to be sent for 2025 event this late spring when Red Wings Announce the schedule.

Summer Detroit Zoo Dental Day

Detroit Zoo sponsor – annual social event at Detroit Zoo in July with private picnic for families under a pavilion, enrichment programs for kids, family photo center, great mingling opportunities for sponsor for full event from greeting attendees to lunch time buffet. Event limit to one or two sponsors. Crowd favorite event target 200 people. Date July 27, 2024. Sponsorship is SOLD for Member Social Event. Local Events

Branch Meetings, Dental Series New Dentists (0-10 years graduation), Dental Series Mature Dentists (0-10 years retirement), and social events.

Branch meetings – the Detroit District hosts branch dinner meetings from September to April in various locations. The events are held in Grosse Pointe, Novi, Livonia, Dearborn, and Detroit. Branch sponsorship form DDDS_2024_2025_SponsorshipForm - dates first come first served. The open dates currently are:

Detroit/ Dearborn – September 18, 2024, October 16, 2024, January 22, 2025
Grosse Pointe – September 16, 2024, October 14, 2024, January 20, 2025
Novi – September 17, 2024, October 15, 2024, January 21, 2025

Dental Series Events
The Detroit District in response to member surveys is planning two different series topics programs. Each program will have six seminars being conducted live/in-person and zoom based on the topic and date.

New Dentist Series and Employment Transitions - Dentists who are within 0-10 years of graduation and those looking at employment transitions to new dental organizations or considering transitions to private practice.

Mature Dentists Series - Dentist within 0-10 years of retirements and those planning for personal financial planning, improving business skills, and life transitions.

Dates - program series looking at first and four Thursdays of the following months August, September, October, January, February, and March.

Social events are planned through the year – contact the office if you would like to be involved in sponsoring a social event.
