Malta Medical and Dental Clinic
Volunteer Opportunities Open All Year
The Malta Medical and Dental Clinic was started in 2007 to care for those without insurance in the Detroit area. We have provided more than 11,000 patients visits since the inception. One fourth of the patients seen in the clinic are homeless or in a shelter. and we see senior citizens who can not afford to pay for their medication, housing and dental care. These are people who are outside of the health care system.
Our goal is to address their immediate needs and help increase their self-esteem with dentures or partials and to enable the patient to achieve employment. All the care is provided by volunteer dentists, hygienists, UDM dental students, WC3 hygienie students.
